Tales of Two Toddlers
Matt and I have two beautiful girls, Keira (almost 3), and Micah (1). Life can be a little hectic sometimes, but I wouldn't change it for anything.

New Year...Finally Restarting the Blog?
Ok, I know I said I would start posting again, but life happened! I will try to be more consistent this time!
Now that 2013 has started we are gearing up for a few changes in our lives. Micah will be 2 in less than 2 months! It is hard to believe that my baby is growing so fast. She is starting to talk up a storm and definitely shows her little personality!! Every time I look at her I feel like she is pondering life's great wonders. She is always trying to figure out how things work. Future engineer?
Keira is approaching 4, although sometimes I feel like she is approaching 8! She is so smart. Matt and I know that she is smarter than both of us and I hope we can create an environment where she can continue to learn and grow. We are considering enrolling her in an all day, 5 days a week Pre-K program for this next school year so she can continue to be challenged. Emotionally I dont know if I will be ready for that this year, but it might be best for her. We will see what we find out at the information meeting.
Matt has been working so hard on the youth room remodel and it looks awesome!! I am so proud to be married to someone who has such passion for his job. I'm not always the best at showing it, but the pride is there! It gets unveiled to the whole congregation this Sunday!
I will try to catch up with events/happenings from the last few months as well as some pictures over the weekend.
Happy 2013!

Time to Start Over...
Ok, wow, I have failed at blogging! Here's to another try:
Micah turns 1 in less than a week! I can't believe it. This past year has definitely been the most challenging and rewarding at the same time. I barely remember life as a family of 3. I love seeing Micah and Keira interact together! They are starting to play more and more and it is so fun to see how life is evolving.
People occasionally ask if we are going to try for a third, or more specifically a boy. Let's just say we are happy for now! I remember as Keira was turning 1 that we were so ready to have another so they could be close in age and play together and be friends. While I can't imagine not having my 2 sweet girls, they are definitely it for now. I think we will let one of our sibblings have the next grandchild!
Which brings me to Ashleigh being engaged! It was so exciting when Justin proposed. It was at his birthday party and we were all there to witness it. I could not have picked a better brother in law! Justin brings out the best in my sister and I truly enjoy hanging out with them. Justin is great with my girls and is always so willing to help out. He has even come to help me when Ashleigh was busy! Keira loves Justin and is already talking about the wedding. It is awesome that he and Matt get along so well and I look forward to the years to come with him in the family!
Time to rest up. I've been sick the past few days and I leave for Vegas on Sunday!

Starting back up
Well I decided to ressurect my blog to help keep everyone up to date on what is going on with our family. I should probably change the title! Anyway, a quick update on us:
Matt just got back from mission trip. This was his last trip this summer and the girls and I are so glad that he is back in town! He has a lot to do to get ready for the youth kick off in September and we are both anxious to settle back into a routine. We have had a crazy schedule the past few months. Once the girls start day school in September life should settle a little bit.
I just joined a gym this week and am hoping to start losing some of this baby weight. I had lost most of it and then gained 10 pounds back! I have been waking up at 530 to go work out and get home it time to help get the girls ready. It was sad today to wake up at 530 when Micah slept until 715!
Keira is becoming smarter every day. Her capacity for language and ability to form sentences amazes me! She has developed quite the attitude and we are working on discipline. Last night she slapped Micah and we do not want to start down that path. She can be so sweet when she wants to be!
Micah is now 18 weeks old. Hard to believe! She is eating baby food and loving every bite. She smiles and laughs all the time and is generally a pretty easy baby. Matt and I got really lucky with both kids. Micah loves to be upright and is alreay trying to sit up on her own. Keira was sitting up at 5 months and I have a feeling Micah won't be far behind.
Hopefully I will update consistently. Often after the girls are in bed I am exhausted but I will try my best!

Getting Sick
Well, I am either getting sick or am allergic to myself or something. I can't stop sneezing! The sinus pressure is just so bad.
I wonder when I sneeze if Keira feels like she is being shook. She was kicking a lot this afternoon, I must have been ruining her nap!
I left work around 3 and came home and slept until about six. I feel way more rested, but just seriously cannont take all of this sneezing! Hopefully tomorrow I will feel a lot better :)
We got our couches and table yesterday, they look awesome! I sat there at the table last night and just looked around imagining what our family will be like 10 years from now sitting at the dinner table. Crazy I know!
Well back to a night of sneezing!

This Week
Well in the past 5 days since I posted no really new news. I have started to have trouble sleeping which I know is just so exciting to hear about! I usually fall asleep for a few hours and then am really restless for the rest of the night. One of these days I am going to fall asleep at my desk! Keira also seems to like kicking at night more than during the day, so that doesn't really help when trying to fall back asleep :)
We are slowly getting the extra bedroom cleared out and Adam and Matt are moving out the old furniture next weekend! After that we can paint and then start setting up the nursery!!
We just bought new couches and a new kitchen table/chairs, and will have those delivered next week. I can't wait!

I know, its been a while!
Ok, I know it has been forever since I posted, but we have been super busy! In case you didn't hear, we are having a girl! We couldn't be more excited. Just 4 more months until we get to meet Keira!
We had another check up yesterday and all went good. Her heartbeat was 150 bpm, it's always that! All of the blood tests from my last appointment came back normal, so that is good! Next month I will give more blood to test for gestational diabetes and anemia, but I have been feeling fine so shouldn't have any troubles. My fundal height was 24, which was in the normal range for the baby's age.
In more fun news, Matt felt her kick for the first time yesterday! I have been feeling her move for a few weeks, but just started noticing distinct kicks this past week or so. Over the past 48 hours they have been much more frequent and pronounced. Yesterday I actually saw my stomach move! It was so cool for Matt to feel it, he felt it more last night and this afternoon.
We signed up for birthing classes today, so those start the first week of March. 2 and a half hours a week for 5 weeks! I think it will be fun, not so sure Matt shares my enthusiasm :)
I also preregistered for the hospital today, so when we get there for the delivery, Matt won't be stuck filling out a bunch of paperwork.
I'll get Matt to post the sonogram picture from a few weeks ago up here. We are having a 3-D sonogram done March 2nd, so we should have some really good pictures then!
